BIOGRAPHY / GALLERY / CONTACT
Phil Santos is a self taught realist artist.  He focuses on portraying daily life in urban Los Angeles.  These images are sometimes glorified, but usually show a more gritty and somber view of the mundane city life.  His focus is to create a Los Angeles feeling as seen through his eyes with a nuance of a West Coast Edward Hopper.  He also dabbles in Conceptual Art.  He shows monthly with a group called Creative Collision at Hollywood nightclubs and venues.  Influences include Renaissance Artists, Regionalists like Edward Hopper and Robert Henri, and all of the "New Realists".
